Junior Leagues Tuesday Mornings - Heritage Links

Dear Parents and Junior Golfers, It’s that time of the year and we are getting excited for our 2010 Junior league. Here is what we have in store for juniors at Heritage Links during the 2010 season. We will be accepting the first 56 juniors interested in an eighteen hole Tuesday morning league and the first 56 juniors interested in a nine hole Tuesday morning league. Both leagues will begin at 8:00am. This year, we will be assigning tee times between 8am and 9am, instead of a shotgun start. Again, we will be serving a hot dog, chips and pop following each round.

The league will begin on June 15th and end on August 10th (no league on July 6th). Heritage Links will have staff on the course to keep play moving, as well as give simple instruction with in the course of play. This helps juniors understand pace of play, help with course management and make the game more enjoyable for all. The following is the vision of the Heritage Links staff for the Tuesday morning leagues. We will begin tee times off both the front and back for the junior leagues. We will have tees comfortable for all levels of junior play. The nine hole league is targeted at the 13 and under age group. The eighteen hole leagues are targeted at the high school varsity and junior varsity levels. The staff understands that individuals play the game of golf for different reasons. Some play for the fun of the game and others play for the competitive aspect of the game. We will recognize and respect each junior’s level of play.

The following are the leagues that will be forming:

• The Walter Hagen league will be for juniors interested in playing a nine hole non-competitive league. This league is designed for the beginning junior. Cost for this league is $150.00.
• The Bobby Jones league will be for juniors interested in playing a nine hole competitive league. This league is designed for the intermediate junior interested in competitive play. Cost for this league is $150.00.
• The Jack Nicklaus league will be for juniors interested in playing an eighteen hole non-competitive league. This league designed for the intermediate junior. Cost for this league is $195.00.
• The Arnold Palmer league is for juniors interested in developing their competitive skills. This league will be competing for positions on the Heritage Links Junior MGA Team. Your weekly league scores will determine which individuals make the team for each event. A team consists of 4 boys and 4 girls. The cost of this league is $495.00. It includes Junior Membership at Heritage Links, a team hat and shirt.

If you become a Junior Member, the league fee is $50.
